Comfort During Your Treatment

Your comfort is our priority.

A professional topical anaesthetic is applied before your procedure to ensure the treatment is as comfortable as possible. Using a premium, low-vibration cosmetic tattoo machine, pigment is gently implanted into the skin along the lash line with precision and care.

Most clients describe the sensation as surprisingly comfortable.

Following your appointment, it’s normal to experience mild swelling, similar to hay fever or tired eyes. This generally settles within 24–48 hours. Your eyeliner will initially appear darker and slightly thicker than the healed result before softening as the skin recovers.

Our Approach

At Flawless Features, we believe beautiful cosmetic tattooing should be built gradually.

For your first appointment, we typically recommend beginning with a soft, natural eyeliner enhancement. Once healed, additional thickness or definition can be added at your perfecting appointment if desired. This approach allows you to become comfortable with your new look while achieving the most beautiful, balanced outcome.

Your initial appointment, including consultation, design, numbing time and treatment, generally takes up to 2.5 hours.

Preparing for Your Appointment

To ensure the best possible healing and results, please follow these preparation guidelines:

• Do not tint or perm your eyelashes within 48 hours of your appointment.
• Remove eyelash extensions at least one week before your treatment.
• Avoid fish oil supplements for two weeks prior, unless prescribed by your doctor.
• Avoid alcohol for 48 hours before your appointment.
• Avoid Aspirin, Nurofen, or other blood-thinning medications for 48 hours beforehand (unless medically required—always follow your doctor’s advice).
• Do not wear eye makeup to your appointment.
• Wear glasses instead of contact lenses to your appointment and avoid wearing contact lenses for 48 hours after treatment.
• Bring a pair of sunglasses, as your eyes may feel slightly sensitive afterwards.
• Please let us know if you have had any previous eye procedures, including LASIK or cataract surgery.

Most importantly… relax! The treatment is much more comfortable than most people expect.
